Good eyes

Both Mommy and Daddy are near-sighted - we can't see far away AT ALL. So we were expecting Harrison to be the same... but we're not so sure. Yesterday, while H was sitting at the kitchen table enjoying a snack, he pointed at the laptop sitting on the bar area and said "Mickey Mouse." Sure enough, on the Web site Mommy was checking for her work project, there was a little 300x250 px ad for Walt Disney World with Mickey.

Maybe Harrison won't have Mommy and Daddy's eyes after all. With any luck, he'll get Mimi and Uncle Mike's perfect vision :)

More sliding fun

Thanks to some very warm, down-right gorgeous temperatures this week, Daddy ventured out to the zoo with Harrison while Mommy was at work. As we've come to expect from our zoo trips, H has just as much fun on the playground there as he does looking at the animals. There are 3 different slides, and he LOVES them.

Harrison also performed his first "belly slide":

One smart cookie

Harrison has always proved to be a pretty good problem-solver. If he wants to turn on the light, he grabs his stepstool and flips the switch. If he wants to call someone, he brings Mommy or Daddy the phone and says who he wants to call.

Today's problem? H wanted an apple off of the kitchen counter. So he grabbed the wheeled footstool out of the living room, pushed it into the kitchen, climbed up and got what he wanted. He eventually ended up with the apple after playing with his new "big boy" cups for a bit.

We'll have to find a new home for our knives it now seems...

Sliding fun

We got out last summer's outdoor playset this weekend when the weather got nice, but Harrison is loving playing on it indoors so much we decided to keep it in the living room for now.

Here is some video of H playing on the playset this afternoon, complete with a new rolling around on the ground once he goes down the slide...
